Bill Ivie over at I-70 Baseball emailed me over the following:

“Our Radio Network features “The Kult Of Mets Personalities”. Last year, on February 18, 2012, they featured an interview with Gary Carter. By May, it was revealed that Carter had a brain tumor.

We have done some research and we believe that his appearance on that show was his last recorded interview. Nik Kolidas, the producer of that show, recalls that it was hard to schedule him as he kept canceling, stating that he “couldn’t shake the flu” and was feeling ill.

The article and a link to that podcast is here: http://www.i70baseball.com/2012/02/17/gary-carters-last-recorded-interview/

It is an honor to think that he did his last interview with that group of people.”
