Back on June 7th, 1963, the New York Mets were still occupying the Polo Grounds and facing the St. Louis Cardinals. It was the bottom of the 9th and the Cardinals were up 2-0.

After a Jim Hickman fly out, Frank Thomas singled, and Ron Hunt drew a walk with Duke Snider on deck. The game ended on what would be Snider’s 399th home run in the big leagues, giving the Mets a 3-2 win.
